Student Workshops

Helping pupils develop the skills and strategies they need to feel more confident, resilient and emotionally healthy

Many pupils can find it challenging to manage emotions, build resilience, or develop a positive sense of self, which can impact confidence, relationships and learning.

Our practical, interactive Student Workshops provide structured support to develop the skills and strategies pupils need to become more confident, resilient and emotionally literate. Each programme consists of six 50-minute sessions delivered by qualified and experienced teachers, using engaging, hands-on approaches.

Workshops can be delivered to whole classes (up to 30 pupils) or targeted groups and are suitable for both primary and secondary settings. They also directly support the delivery of Health Education within the RSHE curriculum.

Student Workshops FAQs

We currently deliver three themed series of workshops, each focusing on a different aspect of emotional health: anxiety, resilience, and self-esteem.

We have also combined some of these sessions together to form a ‘Getting Ready for Year 7’ series of workshops to support an emotionally healthier transition to secondary school, ideal for those post-SATs weeks in June and July!

We’re developing additional themes and would love your input! If there’s a specific topic you’d like to see offered at your school, please get in touch with us.

We’ve designed tailored workshops for both primary and secondary pupils, ensuring content and delivery are age-appropriate and engaging. Our practical workshops are suitable for pupils of all abilities, including those with SEND and those that are neurodivergent.

Each workshop works best with up to 30 students. However, we’re happy to adapt and run smaller sessions for targeted groups if that suits your needs better.

Every workshop lasts approximately 45–50 minutes, fitting smoothly into most school timetables. Each workshop series includes six individual sessions that build upon one another.

It’s entirely up to your school’s schedule! We recommend running sessions weekly or fortnightly so that students can retain and build on their learning between sessions.

All sessions are led by a member of our Emotionally Healthy Minds team—a qualified teacher with classroom experience and expertise in delivering engaging, supportive lessons on emotional wellbeing.

No! We just ask that a teacher is present during each session. You’re welcome to sit back, observe, and even join in the learning if you wish.

We are based in Essex, and can deliver workshops across the South-East (Essex, Suffolk and Kent) and even into London. Contact us to find out if we can travel to your school!
