Parent and Carer Workshops
Helping parents and carers develop skills and confidence to support their children’s emotional health
We know that lasting change happens when children are supported not just in school, but at home too. That’s why we run workshops for parents and carers—giving them the insight and strategies to continue this important journey of emotional wellbeing beyond the classroom.
We offer workshops that schools can host and invite their families to attend. These sessions provide parents and carers with practical tools, useful insights and confidence to support their children’s emotional health.

What do the workshops cover?
Anxiety
- What is anxiety, and how does it affect a child’s thoughts and behaviour?
- How can I recognise my child’s responses to anxiety?
- What practical strategies can I use to help my child manage their anxiety?
Resilience
- How can my child develop resilience and cope with challenges?
- What helps children build a positive, growth-focused mindset?
- How can I support my child to learn from disappointment rather than be held back by it?
Self-Esteem
- How can my child develop a stronger sense of self-worth?
- How can I help my child let go of unhelpful labels or negative self-beliefs?
- What can I do to nurture healthy self-esteem in everyday life?
Each workshop lasts for 90 minutes and can be held during the school day or in the evening, depending on what works best for your school community.

Parent and Carer Workshops FAQs
What workshop themes do you offer?
We currently deliver three themed series of workshops, each focusing on a different aspect of emotional health: anxiety, resilience, and self-esteem. We’re always developing new topics and welcome your suggestions! If there’s a particular theme you’d like to see offered for your school community, please get in touch with us.
What is the maximum number of parents per workshop?
There’s no fixed limit — our workshops are flexible and can be tailored to suit your space and audience. We can run smaller, informal ‘coffee morning’ style sessions for a few parents, or larger workshops in a school hall for a whole group. Whatever works best for your setting, we’ll make it happen!
How long do the workshops last?
Each parent workshop is a stand-alone session lasting around one hour.
When can parent workshops take place?
We can deliver workshops during the school day or after school — whichever suits your parents best. Many schools find it helpful to host a parent workshop after completing the student workshop series, so parents can hear about and discuss the key themes their children have been exploring.
Who delivers the workshops?
All workshops are led by a member of our Emotionally Healthy Minds team — a qualified teacher with experience working with parents in an engaging and supportive way.
Will I need to do anything during the workshops?
No! We simply ask that a member of school staff is present during the session. You don’t need to take part — just be there and enjoy learning alongside your parents.
How do we book a workshop for our school?
Simply click here to submit an enquiry and arrange a free video call with James, our Schools Lead. He’ll be happy to answer your questions and help you plan your school’s parent workshop.
