Targeted Student Support and EOTAS Provision
Tuition, Coaching and Counselling for Students Experiencing Anxiety, EBSA, SEND and Other Barriers to Learning
We work alongside schools and nurseries in Essex to provide targeted support for children and young people who are finding it difficult to fully engage with education.
Many of the students referred to us are experiencing anxiety, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), SEND, low confidence, emotional overwhelm, or other barriers that impact learning, attendance and wellbeing.
We provide personalised packages of Tuition, Emotion Coaching and Counselling which can be delivered within school, at home, at our Emotionally Healthy Minds centre, online or through a blended approach. Support may be commissioned by schools, local authorities or families, including as part of wider EOTAS arrangements where appropriate.
Support is designed to complement existing school provision and can be used to improve engagement, strengthen emotional wellbeing, increase attendance and help students make meaningful progress towards agreed outcomes.
Our approach combines educational expertise with emotional wellbeing support, helping young people build confidence, develop resilience and thrive within school.

- Small group coaching
- Confidence-building interventions
- Emotional regulation support

- Bereavement support
All three services can be delivered within school, at home, at our Emotionally Healthy Minds centre, online or through a blended approach, allowing support to be tailored to the needs of the child or young person.
Packages are tailored to complement existing pastoral, SEND, attendance and inclusion provision. Staff consultation may also be available where appropriate.
Behind every attendance concern, school refusal or disengaged learner is a child with a story
Our role is to understand what is getting in the way, build trust and help young people move forward with confidence
EOTAS in Essex: Support for Students Unable to Fully Access School
Whilst much of our work takes place within schools, we also support children and young people who are unable to attend school full-time due to anxiety, emotionally based school avoidance (EBSA), SEND, trauma, mental health needs or other significant barriers to education.
Our tuition, coaching and counselling services can be commissioned as part of a wider support package for students accessing reduced timetables, phased reintegration programmes or alternative educational arrangements.
Where appropriate, our services may also contribute to an Education Otherwise Than At School (EOTAS) package. EOTAS provision is arranged when it is agreed that a child’s needs cannot currently be met within a traditional school setting. In these circumstances, support may be commissioned by schools, local authorities, through Personal Budgets, Direct Payments or other agreed funding arrangements.
Support can be delivered within school, at our centre, online or through a blended approach depending on the needs of the child and the agreed package of provision.
